Get smallwood off

Hard thing is we don’t know who is sick and who is not. Strange that Whittingham is still on.

I really don't like Whittingham in the midfield. I feel our attack die off every time he is on the ball.

I’m wondering if the rest of the bench has the bug. Strange why you wouldn’t bring fresh legs on.

Never mind. Have to beat Roth now.

So with this match in mind, a new winger and holding midfielder that can actually move and create play would be nice. Whittingham is just so frustrating to watch at this level. He doesn't move much, and really can't afford to have a playmaker that doesn't move. I can't blame Sam Hart for anything because he is playing out of position (not that he looks terribly good), and not letting Tomlinson on in the second half was kind of a bad decision. I am okay with the draw, but Rovers really needed a win to push themselves up away from the playoff positions and contend with direct promotion.

Exactly. I am glad to keep the unbeaten streak, but 1 point doesn't somehow seem to be enough, with 60% poss, 17 shots to 6, etcThorisgodpoo wrote: ↑Sat Dec 30, 2017 4:58 pm. One win away from 2nd. Just don’t want the gap getting any bigger. Just can’t seem to get in top 2.

Arguably our best performance this season (certainly at home). Just disappointing that 2 individual errors cost us goals. If a team carves you open or score a belter you hold your hand up, but these were both self inflicted.
Interesting to read the comments about Whittingham. Personally I have to disagree. Much better than Evans in my opinion. He moves the ball quicker and is more positive in his passing. Yes he gives the ball away some times but he is the best option to play alongside Smallwood.
I walked away feeling positive today. If we can get a win at Rotherham on NYD we are in a good position to kick on in 2018.
All the best everyone. Let’s hope it’s a very happy New Year for the Rovers!!

Post match interview with Mowbray and he said Rovers have tabled two bids for players who will be out of contract in the summer. Rumour is one of them is a defender from Fleetwood Town named Amari Bell.

Have to say I thought it was one of the best games of football I'd seen all season, well at Ewood anyway. With Rovers defence playing Hari Kari the result could have gone either way although we were clearly the better team.
Oddly enough I feel more confident than ever that we'll finish in one of the automatic promotion spots.
The chances of two extraordinary defensive lapses happening again in the same match are remote. We will witout doubt give some team an almighty thrashing before the season is out, I just hop it's at home.
