The bottom half of the league has given Rovers trouble in the past, hopefully it is no longer the case.

Edit: "has give" to "has given"

Northampton have won their last three league one games. They have only been beaten by Wigan this year so recent form suggests Jimmy Flloyd is getting what he wants from the Cobblers. One would like to think Rovers have more than enough about them to win this game though. If there is one issue with Rovers it is when the chances come to finish a game they dont take them and recently at Fleetwood it let the home team back into the game. This aside all is well and looking better. With Armstong and Payne now in the ranks it only adds to Rovers fire power which was doing ok anyway. Will Bell start this game in favour of Williams?

I don't think Bell deserves a start, but certainly needs to be subbed on in the game. I would hope that Armstrong gets a start over Samuel, I think Armstrong has more to bring to the table in the same amount of time that Samuel was on the wing.

I have to say, it's really nice to have a set line-up to expect, and only have to question a couple positions.

Great poll so good start to the match.

But this has got a cliche banana skin feel to it.

Agreed, on both points. Hopefully, Rovers can boss the bottom half, "catfish" teams, the rest of the way.

I like the depth on this team. Teams that win consistently have talented reserves.

At bit of irony for todays game. Shrewsbury goalkeeper Dean Henderson has been banned for three games for improper behaviour. See the Rovers v Shrewsbury thread. The irony is the Northampton keeper was seen laughing and celebrating the draw at the end of the game recently. This was directed at the Rovers fans who had been probably giving him a hard during the second half. Lets hope for the greater good all concerned can behave themselves but due to this recent history those concerned maybe out to remind the keeper of his end of game celebrations.

Rovers need to come out with fire and fury, down 1-0 to a Northampton breakaway and header.

Really big test now. 1 nil down and Mulgrew off. Going to miss his goals.

Shrews are winning as well.

I know the conventional wisdom says that we struggled at Sixfields due to squad sickness. But they do say that you can only play as well as your opponent allows you to. Cobblers set up against us to defend, and they make it very scrappy and attritional. Maybe, just maybe, Northampton have worked out how to stop us winning

We shall see...

Half time, still down 1-0. Sad part is possession and chances are overwhelmingly in favor of Rovers, but nothing to show for it. First off, Samuel is a big bag of wank on the right wing. He has done nothing productive, given the ball away, or just not move. I fully believe Payne or Armstrong would be a massive upgrade from that right now.

Other than that, Mulgrew coming off is a bummer but it seems to not have hindered the flow of their game. Williams slotted right in and is doing well. Bell coming on and showing he is capable at this level.

I honestly believe once Samuel is off the right wing, there will be more creativity and chances.

We've still got Nuttall- should he be brought on. Nevermind, its Payne
