We never heard Winston Churchill say 'Well lads go out their and do your best and if we dont win well there is always the next war'.
He did say "You do your worst and we will do our best" though. But then I suspect you could get a Churchill quote for absolutely anything.

You never heard Eisenhower (one for our American friends) say 'its raining today so we will put off the invasion until June 7th'.
He put it off from the 5th to the 6th due to bad weather of course. I'm not sure what you are saying here to be honest. Who are the Germans tonight exactly?
Ethiaa, it doesn't really matter...fact is an inconvenient piece of poop. it's Churchill & Ike we're talking about, son!
Raise and quaff!

That is because on June the 5th it was that kind of rain that got you wet...the germans well that can be the stewards. Give these people a high viz and some of them think they are the master race.

Perhaps racial discrimination and Blackburn isn't the best subject to get onto.

I'm glad they played that free kick short. I always get nervous of conceding a Cobblers special when the ball gets pinged into the box direct from a set-piece

Quite a powerful first half, lots of movement and energy in the midfield with Payne and Armstrong getting the start. I had a feeling this was going to be the result of then starting, as it seems like Dack and them float interchangeably.
Danny Graham only needs another goal to secure the hat trick, can't wait!

Great result. Hard to believe our last loss was Oldham, way back in October. Payback in about 2 weeks, methinks.

Season 1979/80 Rovers went nineteen league division three games unbeaten. Now known as league One Rovers stand only one game away from equaling that record. Back then Rovers eventually lost to Exeter 2-0. This coming weekend Rovers are again on the south coast at Plymouth. I cannot remember anytime during the Jack Walker years that Rovers went this long unbeaten so it is 38 years nearly since Rovers enjoyed such a run.
