I did, it was just classic Lowe.

Thankfully we have Smallwood who is a vastly better player.

Not as good as those whom we let go, and ultimately one of the contributing players to our relegation.
You're right I really wish we had Lowe and Steele instead of Graham
Of course, Graham didn't replace a midfielder and a goalkeeper, though, both of whom remained with the club for a full season after Graham signed on full time. He was brought in as a loan replacement for a 20 goal a season sriker. It'd be a nice quip, if it had any truth to it.....

The squad/team we have now would beat our team from last season. Just need to keep progressing each season. If we go up add a few of the best league 1 players to the squad. Premier league players on loan and we would be fine in championship.
It would yes, but our team last season was relegation fodder. The real question: would it beat the team from the year before? I doubt it.

You know he's scored more than Gestede and Rhodes combined for us since they've left?

(Not saying he is a better player but you want to base this on goals...)

Rhodes goals had dried up and we sold at the right time. His dry patch continues. I’m glad we got the money we did. Helping to shape the squad we have now. Onwards and upwards. Progression each season is what’s needed.

He has, but how many would they score in League 1.

Alan Shearer scored fewer goals for Newcastle than for Rovers; were you glad we sold him too?

But if we go up we are back in the same division but with a better squad. Upwards.

If I recall correctly he scored 1 league goal for us in his last 10 league games. We were well on our way to be relegated even with Rhodes in the team. In fact he has carried on his terrible form for boro and Sheff. I’m very happy we sold when we did. We could probably get him back for £2.50 now.

He scored one goal in ten games whilst being asked to do a role he wasn't suited to.

Poor management, not the quality of the player.

A better squad than when we went down, but not better than when we were sat outside the playoffs. Overall a poorer squad.

Wait...so you say things like that, but you’re happy to write off our players for their part in last seasons relegation debacle rather than lay the blame at Coyles feet?

I’m pretty confident that Mowbray would have kept that team up.

Perhaps he would have. He came close, but it still was a much poorer team than the season before, where Lambert did his best to dismantle things.

So that goes for boro, sheff and Scotland. Luxury player and we struggled with him in the team. Same as his latest clubs.

I'm not sure how goals are a luxury.....
