Making this ahead of time because i will be on vacation in New Orleans. Plus I dont want to come back to a poll-less match thread.

Can't tell you how much I detest these Friday/Sunday matches.
Sat 3pm kick offs at Ewood seem a rarity these days,

Have you been before?

Personally I wasn't a massive fan of Bourbon Street itself as it just felt like any crazy tourist drinking strip, Frenchman Street is where we spent a lot of time in the evenings, some good bars we went to were Snug Harbor (best Cajun food we ate), The Spotted Cat and Apple Barrel. We stayed on the other side of the French Quarter so we'd have to walk through it all the time to get down to Frenchman, definitely venture down Royal Street and Chartres Street which are parallel to Bourbon just without the craziness and bachelor/bachelorette parties. Also the drinks on Bourbon are really expensive even though the bars and music are generally worse and touristy. Also head down to the French Market during the day for food and to look around.

We also spent a lot of time in the Warehouse District as there's a load of cool bars and places to eat around there, had some good easy food at Cochon Butcher. Also walked all the way down to the Garden District which again some had nice pubs/bars, there was a great Irish pub with freshly shucked oysters that were pretty cheap, think it was Tracey's. It's also the district with some of the nicest architecture (although generally it's all great) and Lafayette Cemetery too which is the "Hollywood" cemetery.

Only touristy thing we did was a guided cemetery walk in the French Quarter and the Saint Louis Cemetery's and that was actually really good.

Even though I live just 1 state away, I’ve never been there. I would probably enjoy the old buildings, Confederate Memorial Hall, & WWII museum.

That's just lazy. Then again Texas counts as 5 states alone.

Never been to Ohio, either...just sayin'. But, seriously, I'd like to take in the Rock 'n Roll HOF someday.

Thinking about Saturday's game...I wouldn't be surprised to see a result the same as what we had on October 28. I respect their defending. Maybe I should expect a win, but 0-0, or 1-1, wouldn't be bad, either. As far as pressure goes, I would think the pressure to be on Wigan. A nice, big, raucous crowd would help. Rovers could start the same lineup they did at Wimbledon, that's a solid 11.

Thinking about Saturday's game... it'll probably be played on Sunday as planned. ;)

Whoever wins will gain a massive advantage in the promotion race. So I expect most will predict a draw. :D

Unless it's called off....... Pitch should be fine....but I remember an Ewood game being called off due to dangerous conditions for the fans getting to the stadium.

Wouldn't be the worst thing....Wigan's double game-weeks are already piling up! But considering our current run I'd prefer to play them asap.

I agree, win and we'll probably win the league :hyper:

Against Aston Villa, if I remember correctly. http://www.roverstalk.com/viewtopic.php ... =60#p64263
I seemed to think that was a soft decision at the time... I expect the snow will just be a memory by Sunday, but I suppose we could have an invasion of man eating frogs?

Shrewsbury's game against Peterborough has already been postponed, news coming out of Rovers is that our game is set to go ahead.

Is the weather bad in Blackburn?
