Of course, I just had a scan back over the last 10 years of league 1 final standings and only once has a team reached 90 points and not achieved automatic promotion, Sheffield United in the 11/12 season got 90 points and finished 3rd, Charlton got 101 and Sheffield Wednesday 93.

The 3 of us still have 18-24 points left to play for and on form alone you'd expect us all to be in the mid 90s at least, it's going to be very harsh on whoever misses out.

Well we got relegated on an unusually high points total too, so at least there’s some sort of symmetry.

An irritating symmetry yes.

It could well be less than 40 points to be safe in the Championship this season
