That was some classic squeaky bum time Rovers at the end. Catching up on the match now because I slept in a little this morning (woo iFollow), but saw about the last 15 minutes live. Samuel totally bottled that 1 on 1 chance at the end which I don't know how I feel about that, insurance goals are the best goals at the end of a match. Still won at the end so can't complain that much about it.

Otherwise it was a solid win. Glad Mowbray switched Payne on for Antonsson really early. Raya's distribution at the end was also very questionable in quality, but thankfully Rovers have a really good back 4 to deal with that. I think it's worthy of putting Bell in the good buy category, it's nice to have someone who can play anywhere on the left side and is quick.

Corry Evans, I don't understand him. I sometimes find myself asking the screen, so what do you say you do here? Then sometimes I find myself asking, where have you been this whole time? This is different though, he has put in some pretty solid performances the last 3 matches. So I am hoping this is the turning point that we have been waiting for in his career.

And I seriously hope we have an option to buy Armstrong. I know this is League 1, but he is the type of striker Rovers need to make a 4-4-2 happen with Danny Graham or any type of target man.

Well MK made two subs at at half time and they targeted our left side channel between Mulgrew and Williams and we just couldn't deal with it at all as they overloaded down that side. What's worse we didn't seem to be trying to rally and organise. It was just total panic.

Bell coming on was to switch to a back 3 and double up down that side but it didn't really work and then Samuel wasn't giving us as good an outlet as Graham so they just kept attacking.

Dack looked seriously pissed off to be subbed although he had been quiet.

We've won and still top so it's great but it'll be a tense dressing room. They'd all be shouting at each other particularly Evans, Mulgrew, Williams and Raya.

Hopefully we've learnt a lot today for the last 7 games.

With so many on the road to end the season, I sure hope so. Everybody left are midtable clubs, capable of stealing points from us. Got to play smart, stay healthy, TM needs to make judicious subs, etc.

<an illegal streaming website> is a good site for games being televised on sky or cable etc, no flash player needed as it uses HTML5, pop up ads are not much of a problem either, a pleasant and rare surprise. The Wigan game can be watched on it, if you have an android device I recommend Firefox version 51.0 installing Adobe Flash player 11.xxxxxxxx with auto play enabled along with ad blocker addon installed, more recent versions don't support flash player and the ad block is also incompatible, it took me quite a few attempts to find each version of the app and addons that work. Any questions feel free to PM me.

Watching the Wigan v Portsmouth match, wow this ref is really giving Portsmouth a chance to be in it. Really physical match.

Almost 2-0 from Pitman. That was a little peach of a long ball too.

HT.

All Wigan. Pen scored by Pompey. Great save to stop Pompey leading 2 - 0. One or two Wigan players are being targeted and man marked. Loads of diving from Wigan. I would be shocked if the ref does not buy one in the second half.

I don't think it's diving much, Portsmouth's defense is being highly aggressive. One of the defenders for Portsmouth undercut a Wigan player, a couple other legit takedowns too. Honestly, Portsmouth's getting the benefit of the ref this match.

This is all to say that I am glad Portsmouth are up 1-0 right now. I want them to win, but this is a rough and tumble match.

Pompey have got away with some but you can’t tell me the booking Thompson got was not given due to Powell dive. Vaughan has spent more time on the deck than the ball has. Trying to win free kicks around the box. Just worried ref will give one.
