Strange the things that stick in your mind. i shan't forget a match against Bolton when Roberts collected the ball on the half way line, took it to the edge of the penalty area then cracked it in.
Pity he didn't do it more often!

It's been said many times, if Roberts had been a natural goal scorer then he would have been playing for a top side. He had everything else.

We should have probably played him at centreback if he had everything else.

What a great feeling yesterday. And yes, Mowbray deserves a fair share of credit for the rebuild job. I questioned a couple of his signings, but I admit my error- he knew the caliber of player he was looking for.

I’ve enjoyed this board all season, in fact, since I joined. I only hope I get to meet y’all in-person someday. I admire your wit, enthusiasm, candor, steadfastness, & support.

The wife & I plan on making a big trip, fall of 2019, after my retirement, which I am already looking forward to.

We need to hear from Duggy... SHOUT OUT TO DUGGY!!!

Also, we haven’t really discussed it, but the chance Rovers win League One title?

You had your chance when I was down in New Orleans.

For reals though, I hope to make it over there one day for a vacation and get to see them live and in person.

As to the idea of winning League 1 title, all that needs to happen is Rovers win the rest of their matches and Wigan draw just one.Tall ask for Wimbledon or Doncaster to do something productive in those matches. Also, we have Charlton who are still fighting to secure the playoff positon, and Oxford isn't much of a worry.

It would be nice but after a dreadful start to the season and at one point being more than ten points behind Shrewsbury i think everyone is just delighted we are promoted.

You know, if you would have told me after our 2nd game way back in August, we would come close to 100 points, I would have laughed myself silly. But, here we are, with two wins, we could get to 99!

Amazingly insane. :hyper:

Just shows that the league table is irrelevant until after a bunch of games have been played. Two games is never enough to get jittery.

Anyway, congrats to the team for securing promotion with a couple to go: job done. However, the real work starts now to make sure we're competetive in the Championship and can challenge for promotion again.

Onwards and upwards!

Surely that was the real work too. This is just the next bit of real work.

So if we succeed in staying in the championship next season, then the really real work will begin? And then promotion to the Prem will be the really really real work?

Yep, you're getting the hang of it now.
