What worries me about our season so far is that every winning match has been by the odd goal, yet we've been thrashed 4-1 (twice) and 3-1. Everyone was demanding creative midfielders in August, but it's the defence that now needs some attention.

I don't think it's a personnel issue to be honest. We've shown how resilient we can be against some of the best sides in the league and we've had some bad defeats too. You can pretty much flip a coin with any Championship fixture as the results are so difficult to predict, anyone can beat anyone on a given day it's about how we perform in that moment.

Yes our margins of victories are fine generally speaking and we've conceded a decent number of goals but we've got a good defence, an excellent goalkeeper and a number of options in defensive midfield.

Our thrashings have pretty all been as a result of the team collectively performing poorly. The second halves against Bristol and Swansea we were just bad right across the pitch, likewise away at Preston and Wigan for the full 90 minutes. But that same group of players have beaten or gone toe to toe with the best in this division. On our day we'll give anyone a tough game.

If I had one concern about the team with would be the lack of goalscorers, strikers in particular. If Dack and Graham aren't scoring we're currently not getting many goals from elsewhere, but there is definitely more to come from Brereton and Armstrong does need to chip in with a few and he's been close on multiple occasions.
