Big match if there is any chance at playoffs. Even though Bristol City has a match in hand, it can be massively beneficial to get 3 points here.

Another very difficult game, they're the form side having won their last 5 and are now sat in 6th so will be doing everything to keep themselves in the play-offs. We may also have injuries issues to contend with.

Result could be anything would just be nice to not get our pants pulled down not only for the second match in a row but also by Bristol City for the second time in a season.

Hull were the form side when we played them too!
If Lenihan doesn't make it then Mulgrew might be back . One advantage of having three cracking centre halves.
Seem to recollect that we didn't suffer earlier in the season when Dack couldn't play- but as one of our crown jewels I wouldn't want to see him rushed back

Good thing is Rodwell is getting a solid run of matches to prove himself even further. Would rather see him in midfield but maybe he can be recreated as a centreback.

Having Dack and Graham back are pretty crucial, but not worth risking if it was serious.

I think there's a difference between Hull and then Brentford and Bristol City in this run of playing the "form" sides. The latter two are really good teams who have both pulled us apart for 45 minutes this season. Hull we have completely dominated for 180 minutes with an aggregate score of 4-0 which could easy have been about 8-0.

But then this division is mad so anything can happen.

Is Nyambe injured? That side of the field always seems better defended when he's playing.

Mowbray hasn't said if Nyambe is out or not. I would hope he gets a start this weekend, and put Bennett in the midfield.

Half time, I would say advantage to Bristol City but it is still level. I am amazed it is still scoreless.

After the break we'll come out like ravenous apes trying to sell nordic bakeware, so chin up.

Full time, Rovers lose 1-0 to a header from a Bristol City corner. Felt it was a rather even match second half.

I thought we’d lose today. Close game and not much in it.

Bristol City have now won eight games in a row. They kept Rovers at bay comfortably and when you are at home and do not create and convert what chances you have a good side will punish you for it. No complaints from me about todays result. Rovers need two or three players that will make the difference but that will have to be next season.

I was impressed with Bristol yesterday. Extremely solid and organised outfit. We barely had a sniff. Some of the nonsense I heard from our fans walking away from the ground really did annoy me. The expectations some fans have for this season are outrageous. If the season was to stop now I for one would be more than happy.

Let’s try and put it right on Wednesday night!
