He's not the best player by any means, but it's a little unfair to judge him by standards he's not there to meet. He's a spoiler rather than a creative, attacking player, and he's reasonably effective at covering the defence whilst our two full-backs-cum-centre-forwards race off for another attack. He's good at winning the ball and playing a simple pass to a team mate with more flair. ie the basic stuff that no one really notices until someone fucks up.

Has to be two up top tonight. How can McCarthy rediscover his scoring touch if he isnt playing. Hopefully we will have too much for Sunderland, but you never quite know do you. 3 points takes us withing touching distance of the top 6 again, which obviously is where we want to be.

Is Samba available though?

It said in the paper he was still away awaiting the birth of his child....

Having already missed 1 game because of this, surely missing a 2nd game is taking liberties :-D

Seriously, he's not even being considered is he? I understood he is still \"away\"

This would have been an ideal game to play some of our youth, why can't we see treacy getting some experience. Get savage on......

Anyone know a good stream to watch the game on?

That smiley looks as if the baby's undeveloped vertibrae has crumbled under the weight of its own body.

Rory, we get proper done off sir for posting links to streams but thanks anyway... 8-)

I went to the BBC website and it seems that according to their \"commentary\" it's all been throw-ins so far.

Oh sorry all! My apologies, like all new members i did read the rules and regulations but this slipped my mind.

But yeah i cant get the stream to load cause my internet keeps disconnecting and connexting again. I'm reading the bbc commentary also, 48% possession at home against sunderland doesn't make for good reading and similar can be said about the only 2 shots we've had being off target.....

Maybe we need some attacking guile in the centre by bringing dunny on for axe.
