John Williams - today's LET wrote:Keith (Andrews) was Paul’s captain at MK Dons. At our first meeting (following his appointment) Paul said he was a good player but was not prepared to recommend we make a bid to MK Dons, particularly as he hadn’t been able to assess our squad.

Since then the matter has never been discussed between us, and we have certainly not contacted, let alone agreed anything, with MK Dons.

Basically, he's not good enough then. Seems like after Ince took a look at the players we already have, he decided against making such a lazy recommendation.

After seeing Ince's recent interview on SSN, I think he was in awe of Santa Cruz after seeing him train. Thing is, I had a bad dream about Santa Cruz going many games without goals in this next season.

I'm scared now, mommy. :(

Di Matteo thinks we've put an offer in.

Signing a League Two proven midfielder, who clearly is not even that young, would be a farce for a top ten Premiership side.

Oh look, SSN have now admitted there isn't any offer, despite the idiot I mailed on Friday refusing to back down:-

"A club statement said: "Keith is a player we value extremely highly and remain committed to retaining but we maintain our policy of not standing in the way of an individual's professional development.

"We have received no formal offers for Keith but in order to prevent the intense speculation of recent weeks jeopardising the start of our season we feel it is in everyone's interests to settle this unhelpful situation."

Cannot believe this is a true story. Well I hope it ain't. I think it could be MK dons trying to push up the value of Andrews. Linking him to Rovers gets more press coverage and his name out to other clubs. I cannot think of the last player who came from a lower division and looked OK, maybe Murphy or Lennon.

Signing Andrews would have been the equivalent of Everton signing Lee Trundle a couple of years ago. In fact, it's probably worse because Trundle was half decent.

This story has to be a load of shit and I wish Sky Sports would stop writing every load of bollocks that gets faxed into their offices.
