Joe Rothwell (ex Oxford midfielder) becomes our first signing of the summer. Out of contract, we negotiated a fee with Oxford to save a t
ribunal.

I'm assuming we're just waiting to see who the top world cup performers are before we move...

Mowbray has stated that they have been busy, and he really hasn't shown to me to not trust him. Probably should expect a permanent signing next week, and then filling in whatever gaps he sees fit after that.

I've been busy too. But don't expect me to sign any world cup winners to help cut the hedges.

There are a fair few ex-world cup winners who have suddenly got a spare week or two in the calendar... ;)

Apparently Jacob Davenport is set to join on loan from Man City.

Some tabloids have us linked to James Morrison and Marcus Maddison. Morrison is on a free right now, but at 32 years old he might be a risk.

I'd have thought that after Murphy and to a lesser extent Whittingham, we've had e
nough of ageing stars.

Quite rightly Mowbray is talking about a striker being a priority. Overall his transfer dealings since being here have been excellent and we look in good shape with regards to defence and midfield but certainly looking very light up top.

Graham is great but we know he won't be playing 90 minutes of 46 games whilst he has some very good attributes he isn't an overly mobile striker so we need other options. Samuel made a good start last season but neither him or Nuttall look like they're ready to start banging them in next season with the additional step up in division.

Antonsson has gone back to Sweden and it has gone quiet on Armstrong, although by it seems to be the thinking that post World Cup it is the Premier League clubs that will now start to trigger a lot more movement in the transfer market. Also seen a few rumours linking us to another loan of Sam Gallagher which would be a good signing and would love to welcome him back, but could equally be lazy links and just gossip.
