Thinking more and more about Bendtner being in talks with an unnamed club. The more I think about it the more I think its us. Every time this window its came out we like a player another team has also declared interest. Maybe Steve Kean and the owners have wised up and thought "well this time we won't let it leak out to the media until the deal is in writing".

If they did conduct their buisness in private and let us know thats what they are doing then maybe the press will calm the frell down with the millions on transfer rumours!!

I hope it's not us in talks with him. I really dont rate him

It's disappointing to see players who could have realisticly improved us already gone......
- John O'Shea
- Seb Larsson
- even blooming Wes Brown

Am hoping that Mr Kean pulls the finger out as there are still a few good ones left which are potentially obtainable
- Defoe
- Bellamy
- Johnny Evans
- N'Zogbia

Evans? Seriously? He is CRAP! Players like Dann, Johnson and EVEN Upson are better than Evans.

Would be happy to take any of those three. Let's face it - we'll probably need 2 as it's unlikely that Samba will stay. When asked for his "best and worst moments at rovers" on twitter, his answer was "Best moment was signing, worst is still to come". Ominous!

Unless he's just flippantly suggesting he hasn't had a single bad moment yet. :yeahright:

N'Zogbia wouldn't even cut it at Spurs, Villa or Everton. He's not as good as Bentley for example, who couldn't cut it.

It is a sad state of affairs that players who would be guaranteed first team football and to be the top man at a club never seem to realise that's the best place for them to be.
aye, he'd probably turn out like chimbonda

have we signed this um bongo chap yet?

Re: Venky's stories on Kalinic and family agents..... ughhhhh..... these poultry farmers are killing me.

Whoever mentioned Bellamy over Bendtner, i wholeheartedly agree. Thats the kind of problem striker i wouldnt mind coming to the club. Everyone always gets on Craig, but hes quite a guy. No other player gives back more, and you can tell his academy in sierra leone is his number one priority. I hope he sits on City's reserves collecting an outstanding paycheck each week for the rest of the year, and then we can sign him on a free transfer next summer.

Re: 4 Targets.... i really am all about this Papiss Cisse chap now. Sign him and a young talented defender and I'd call it a successful window!

We still need a central midfielder who can pass in a straight line

Indeed. So let's turn the question around.....given the choice, who are we all definately happy with.

As a starter for 10 - I'd say:
Robinson
Samba
Olsson
Hoillet
Dunn (when fit)
