Wouldn't mind the sale if it means bringing a couple new fresh faces. I would hope that all the money from the transfer can be used to grab a player or two to reinforce our ranks. It would be nice to see Abdoul Ba come in as someone tall and an enforcer at central defender would be much needed, or a right back.

Non of the money will be available. Anybody who thinks otherwise is still failing to grasp the fundamentals of FFP.

There is every chance I've missed something - but surely we're just guessing about the budget or lack thereof since the current accounts of the club is never known until after the event?

Otherwise why is coyle talking about 3 signings?

Signings don't require transfer fees.

I can't imagine any turn around in our finances occurring until we get promoted and see some of that ludicrous Premier League money. We're what, 90 million in debt (on paper) now, so unless we sell Marshall for that, we aren't going to be able to spend a penny.

He'd made it clear he didn't want to be here, so we'd lost him anyway. Was a good player when his heart was in it. But we've stopped being a club that players enjoy playing for.
