A really good creative midfielder. At last someone to play those through balls for Rhodes! :hyper:

Yeah. Good to see a creative mid being brought it. Rhodes wanted to go and we let him. That's that. We did get decent cash in return, which, if used judiciously would benefit the squad. Here's hoping DG, SJ and TW make the best of the through balls and best of luck to PL and the team!

Chuffing hell we've actually sign a proper creative midfielder. I wanted us to sign Gomez years ago!

I think Gomez and Watt will prove pivotal signings this season.

I would guess there's a buy on clause or whatever in the loan, and I would imagine that maybe a player or two else might come in like this later on.

Probably in the minority here but I never rated Gomez when he was at Wigan. He seemed too much of a luxury...

I'm sure he's a hard worker but he's slow and at times seems complacent/laid back....

My negativity probably goes back to when he scored that hat-trick against Rovers a couple of seasons back (He did right?) - If there was ever an undeserving hat-trick that was it.

The only hat trick scored against us since we've been in the Championship was by Dwight Gayle for Peterborough, which was back in March 2013. Sure it wasn't on Football Manager Rory?

Could have well been! Haha! I doubted myself when I wrote it too. I've always held that against him too!! :dunce:

Great signing!

P.S. I cant forget the Gayle Hattrick, as it was on my Stag do and we were watching Soccer Saturday and had 24 blokes ribbing me for it....

Nice debuts, for both Watt & Gomez. Can't wait for their encore

Whatever happened to Gomez?

Wikipedia still shows him with Rovers...was he returned to Sunderland?
