I'm happy enough with that based on what I've read about him on other forums. Hopefully he'll progress with us. There's Mansell as back-up too, though Coyle recently said he didn't think he was quite ready.

I hope that reporter is paid by the word, because they printed the story twice on the one page.

Don't know much about him at all so it can't be a terrible loan signing.

Agreed. The fact he's 20, & has a high-ceiling potential-wise, & he hasn't pissed anybody off yet, is good enough for me.

I hope we see him vs Latics.

Difficult to say how good Gallagher is from the you tube highlights, but reading Twitter, all seems to be positive. Doubt he'll stay mind, I'm guessing Southampton will want to keep him on

Gallagher's price may have just shot up...
Owen Coyle wrote:"I do believe in time he's going to be a bona fide Premier League player"
"It's the likes of the Sam Gallaghers and Tommy Hobans that, as a manager, you'd be looking to invest in."
Asked if he would like to sign Gallagher permanently, Coyle said: "I'd love to - Tommy Hoban's another one I would love to."

6 goals & 1 assist now. Great addition to the club.

What is Gallagher's status... Are we set to lose him in January?

He's on loan for the season. Of course, that in itself doesn't rule out the possibility that Southampton can recall him if they want to.

Especially if over it their existing strikers got themselves injured for 4 months.

Will probably depend on the clauses in the loan. Usually not if we've paid a fee for the loan.

If you've paid a fee then there is often no recall clause at all.
