Re: Sam Gallagher
Gallagher is:
1) Talented;
2) young.
Obviously, he needs to stay at Blackburn, if we have any hope of climbing up the table. If Rovers are able to sign him, and don't, I would say we have an infestation of stupidity.

Re: Sam Gallagher
We can't afford to sign him. Thought that would have been evident by now....

Was there a point you were making with the rules copy and paste or just FYI?

Re: Sam Gallagher
I was curious as to whether there was anything prohibiting recall if a fee was paid. Doesn't look like there is, so would just be dependent on the agreement itself.
Re: Sam Gallagher
Sunderland scouting Gallagher for summor move.
Unsurprising, he's been great.
I guess that is one of the main pitfalls of loaning players given our current situation, we don't have the money or status to compete when it comes to securing them on a more permanent basis. But the benefit being it is a low cost and flexible option whilst you had them. The trick is always trying to repeat this type of success.
You'd suspect Southampton may want to keep hold of him anyway.

Re: Sam Gallagher
It's hardly a bad thing to loan a talented young player destined for bigger things. It's probably the best way to bring in some quality in our present situation. Sure, they're unlikely to stick around for more than a season. But if they're attracting attention it means they're doing well for us now and that's more important for us than building for the future at the moment.
Re: Sam Gallagher
No of course not and I know the terms of loans can vary from player to player but it's just good to know we have him all season. I also think it bodes well for us as a club, not in every case, that we will play and develop loans. And clubs often establish connections with other clubs where you see a constant stream of loans.
Coyle has history with successful loans too and generally speaking his transfer business has been very good to date.
