Y'all may have covered this elsewhere, & I may have missed it. Mahoney rumored to Sunderland when his contract expires this summer.

Would break my heart if this kid left. I strongly believe that the only way for a club like ours to have any sustained success in the years to come is on the back of young, talented players like Conner.

I saw him in the flesh against Forest and he was brilliant. My Forest supporting mate was absolutely raving about him too.

I just feel if he goes, others will follow and it will be a self-fulfilling prophecy of doom. Can't afford to buy players, any home grown talent is snapped up on the cheap or freebies, club gets little money, can't invest... fucking hate FFP.

Indeed and even if he goes because his contract ends it'll go to a tribunal cause he isn't old enough yet to go for free.

I read somewhere Sunderland were thinking £250K was a fair offer - not sure if they can agree a price without a tribunal, or why Rovers would want to.

I think they can certainly make an offer and have it accepted without a tribunal. They just can't offer a contract and take him on a freebie when it expires.

Nottingham Forest, Celtic and Wolves are all interested in Blackburn Rovers winger Conor Mahoney, according to the Daily Mail.

The 20-year-old starred towards the end of the season despite Rovers suffering relegation to Sky Bet League One.

Would this be one of those situations that goes to a tribunal? Similar to Josh King?

Wonder what far right toilet paper he reads :yeahright:

Having thought about this I've realised my toilet roll holder is on the right of my toilet. Something must be done.

A great shame - whoever is responsible for contracts at Ewood should hurl themselves into the river. This lad should have had a decent contract offered 18 months ago. Josh King is reputedly worth £35M! -Mahoney could eventually be in the same category. Incidentally how much did we get from Bournemouth?
