Would have been happy with this signing even when we were in the Championship. Excellent signing!

Plenty of devastated Cardiff fans out there today, can only be a good sign... no idea how Mowbray pulled this one off :D

If he's an attacking midfielder we could see Mowbray move away from his normal 4-4-2.

I'm sure there will be plenty who moan about hi age, but I think this is a quality signing.

I honestly didn't expect us to pull that off. Great statement of intent.

Seems pretty positive to me... Obviously it's just a plot to get relegated and sell brockhall

Cardiff City fan here.....

Rest assured you have got a gem! Whitts would not have signed for you, if he didn't feel your club had potential. You have a very good manager in Tony Mowbray.....he was one we would have liked at City when we finally got shot of Russell Slade.

Whitts may have lost pace over the years, but his brain and skill will be too good for your League 1 opposition. You have another Bluebirds' old boy in Craig Conway. Much under appreciated in his time with us, but expect Whitts & him to work well together.

Good Luck!

Thanks. I have a feeling that we may be meeting again in the 2018/19 season. Plenty of optimism at Cardiff for next season, but whether we will have quite enough to get us promoted, I don't know.

Pleased to read this signing on SS just now. Let's hope he keeps going with the excellent signings to get us back first time

Great signing, hope it works out. Can't wait for who Mowbray has lined up next.

Really glad we got Whittingham. If we can hang onto Bennett & Conway, that gives us a lot of creativity in midfield.

I'm kinda-sorta stoked about getting the season underway!
