Four year deal for an undisclosed fee. Mowbray must think highly of him to go for him. Hopefully we will see him a lot this season as he did play for Burton last season.

Crikey, saw a few bits and pieces on Twitter saying it was a loan. Fair enough, assuming Mowbray sees a lot in him and Man City do seem to now be producing some decent young players.

He's a similar player to Smallwood by the sounds of it so it's good to have options and cover in the central midfield. I guess we've got Davenport and Smallwood as our main defensive midfielders, then Rothwell and Evans are both more attack minded and we also have Travis, Tomlinson and Gladwin.

Come on, Dack is part of the forward line.

Mowbrays commonly essentially a 4-2-3-1 and I was referring to that central 2.

What is the current status with JD? I have lost track somehow. I remember he was close to being fit. Then had a set back. Then Oct time was in squad from Brighton game. I don’t remember any more on him after that? Will we see him in the first team squad this season? Or written off until next season. Will be like a new signing.....

It was in the Lancashire Telegraph a few weeks ago (link) that he's getting back to fitness following a thigh injury, but Mowbray doesn't think he'll be ready before the end of the season.

Great, thanks.
