I'd be very worried by "As many as five bidders, including a Nigerian consortium, are thought to be interested but potential buyers do not have to make a bid yet."
Time to find a Nigerian scammer letter and modify accordingly....

Re: Newcastle
If one more person does that I'll have some sort of aneurysm. Lost track of the number of fake Nigerian emails I've seen printed on forums over the last couple of weeks. Although it does seem to infuriate the Barcodes - so job done I suppose.

Re: Newcastle
Wasn't sure where to put this as we don't have a 'Manager of the month' thread and I'm not sure we need one. But congratulations to Phil Brown for winning this month's award.
To be honest, I put this in here because I'm shocked Newcastle haven't been linked with the guy yet. Perhaps it's his Sunderland connection (apparently his parents are avid supporters and brought him up to follow the Mackems) but Newcastle are usually linked to every Tom, Dick and Harry. The fact that Brown is a north-easterner makes me wonder why they haven't made some sort of move for him, in complete vain, of course.
Congrats to him, anyway. I like the guy, he seems pretty humble and like the sort of guy you could have a pint and a chat with. Too damn good for Newcastle, in my opinion. I hope they get Les Reed.

Re: Newcastle
I'm sure they've only awarded him it in the hope it'll jinx Hull and stop them taking points off themore established and fashionable sides.
Aye, good luck to him - hull are playing some really good stuff.

The last thing you need to be doing in his situation is offending your highly paid prima donnas.

Re: Newcastle
Aye, particularly with Shay Gibbon about to join City and Clive Owen wanting to leave too. At least they've got Kevin No-one coming in.
I like the way it's being reported that he 'mis-pronounced' N'Zogbia... he didn't, he was taking the piss out of his name.
One of my pet hates is when someone shortens my first name to "Sigh", and I'm surprised my surname hasn't ever been taken down as having "withani" tagged on the end... I can understand why N'Zogbia's angry.

Re: Newcastle
All the Bolton fans on 606 last night were throwing a party that they may be getting shot of him. Seems like he's their Pedersen, in that every non-Bolton supporter thinks he's great when in reality he hasn't been much cop for two seasons.
Having said that - although Peds has been through a rough patch in the attacking side of his game, his effort and defensive play has always been top notch. And it looks like his Attacking play is on the up again. Fingers crossed.

I know no one expects better from them, but it really is time The Sun stopped printing blatant lies...
:scratch:MIKE ASHLEY turned Newcastle into a football joke yesterday.
