Although Steve Evans dies a fine job of making Steve Evans jokes.

Best manager moves

Most emotional: September, Rotherham manager Steve Evans: “Myself and the chairman hugged and embraced and there were tears on both sides. It was a very emotional moment for Steve Evans to watch his chairman shed lots of tears and be very emotional knowing we were going to formally part. But Steve Evans had to make a decision for Steve Evans.”

Most reflective: October, Steve Evans on his early impact at Leeds: “I think the players saw a corner turned when Steve Evans walked in”; On his work ethic: “When Steve Evans asks players to be brave, I want them on the ball”; On his vision: “I’m a realist. Steve Evans doesn’t lie in bed and dream”; And on a fake Steve Evans quote circulating on Twitter: “What a scandalous, horrible thing to attribute to Steve Evans.”

Gibbon thinks we should appoint Steve Evans after reading that.

Pearson suspended.

I originally wrote 'Pearson suspended from Derby post', but it sounded a bit creepy.

You can add Fat Sam to that list. We all knew he wouldn't last long, doubt any of us thought only 1 game. Well done Sam, good work.

Tommy Wright has had his contract terminated by Barnsley. This is all going to get messy.

BBC Sport - Breaking news

Firing someone on the basis of allegations isn't wise. Suspend awaiting outcome, fair enough.

Latest -

Wright was filmed apparently being given an envelope of money in return for allegedly helping persuade Barnsley to sign players from a fake Far East firm.

Next England Manager Confirmed?
Trump to become England manager
28-09-16
trump425

DONALD Trump will be unveiled as England manager this Saturday, the FA has confirmed.

After Sam Allardyce was sacked for listing Wembley Stadium on eBay, the England squad is to become Trumpland Raiders FC.

Trump said: “This guy Sam hasn’t got them a game in, like, four weeks. Sad. But with me they will be playing every single day. Twice on Saturdays, you better believe me. I have all the best football people, just the greatest. Ask Pele. Ask that gay-looking guy married to the singer, they’ll all tell you.”

England players met the bullish university creator last night, with striker Wayne Rooney immediately bonding with the new manager over hair-sculpting regimes.

The squad for next month’s qualifying match against Malta will be selected by pitting them against each other in a series of tests including running a pop-up bagel stand and launching a new type of men’s fragrance.

Trump said: “We’re gonna go to Russia and we’re just gonna take the World Cup before a ball is kicked, I can totally make that happen.”

Apparently ... Eric Black, Southamptons assistant manager, is embroiled in all this latest corruption stuff as well. Will be in tomorrow's Telegraph!
