I do like Emerton when he gets forward, he's got quite a good shot on him. It's just a pity he doesn't use it more often.

Emerton's certainly taking to that midfield role - Vogel and Emerton midfield to become a more regular occurrence?

Yeah the only reason, as far as i can see, that he was playing that far forward was that the 'mighty' Qatar are not known for their venomous counter strike. It must be said that Pim Verbeek has came under some scrutiny for his team selection in last couple of matches.

You have to ask the question though, if Emo scored twice what the hell was Kewell doing.
He should be back this week, i don't think he will play against China this week.

Brett Emerton and Harry Kewell play well in the midfield together.
If we buy Kewell I rekon that Emerton will play midfield more often.

I hope we don't buy Kewell, he should be free if his contract is up this summer!

Rumor's here in OZ are that he may be going to Roma.
Personally i thought he would have tried to squeeze some cash out of a MLS team, then come back to Oz for an A-League team.
Trust me, we don't want Kewell.

Emerton is effective at the back cos he has a bit more time on the ball. In the midfield you don't have that luxury. When you have someone solid at the back like Nelson or Vinny Grella, for Australia, organizing he is fine. When you dont have that organization he tends to end up all over the pitch.
