Not long before the hosts are chosen for WC 2018. This coming December i believe. Provided the world does not end in 2012 England have a good chance of staging the tournament. Of course Zepp Blatter owes us one after the goal that never was so with a lot in Englands favour how can we go wrong.

Maybe you're right. With so many great footballing nations Italy,Germany, france,Brazil,Argentina etc we may expect the head honcho at Fifa to come from one of these and other footballing nations. Nope as we all know he comes from the land of the cuckoo clock and Bankers. Might as well put a veggy in charge at McDonald's.

And I was trying to make the point that Mexico were just as 'wronged' by a crucial bad decision and also got an apology from Fifa. Never mind.

Did anyone else think that the Panorama investigation was full of vaguries, assumptions and general bollocks.

It may well have just cost us the world cup...

I boycotted it incase it did hamper the bid.

That it might hamper the bid shows just why something does need to be made about them, even though this may have been a poor effort. It just shows how impartial FIFA are: not very.

I hope it DOES hamper the bid. Waste of money.

So you don't think they'd make more than they'd spend? Cause I do. South Africa broke even hosting this year's world cup and they had far more to spend on infrastructure than England would.

I'd imagine the weak South African Rand, cheap labour and wages etc... may have had a lot to do with that.

I've always thought it would lose money, as I believe will the Olympic games - and Panorama's revelation that Holland had published their projected losses of over 100 million euros should their own bid prove successful, just added fuel to the fire for me.
