Qatar 2022

So clearly still the best choice, even though they can't host at the time that the world cup should take place.....

The whole thing has become tiresome now... it will obviously be in Qatar because money talks, the time of year shouldn't really matter one way or the other, but the fact they still haven't put it to bed shows how ineffectual they've become.

Sepp Blatter seems to have admitted that it was a mistake to give Qatar the 2022 world cup.

So that's Brazil this year where the stadia aren't finished yet and the populace are protesting about it, moving on to Russia in 2018 (maybe Donetsk can host some games), and then the searing hot desert of Qatar in 2022.

Those last two aren't going to be much fun for gay fans either are they, then again maybe the danger of imprisonment will spice things up a little. That is of course if they can get past the proposed gay tests.

That's just backwards. I don't mind the WC being held in a blazing hot country, it won't be the first time. I don't really mind if they play it in November. That's superficial in comparison to the real reason to not hold the tournament over there. If the country doesn't do equality then our game for everyone and anyone deserves more respect than to be played there!!

Don't worry, everyone can just shake hands and forget about it.

It'd be risky shaking hands with Blatter, you may catch verbal diarrhoea...

] The awarding of the 2022 games to Qatar was also controversial. The illegality of homosexuality in the nation caused Blatter to joke that "I would say they [gay fans] should refrain from any sexual activities
Blatter is homophobic...but even worse he is Swiss.

"Recommendation" to move it to November/December.

I'm hoping there'll be a boycott.
