Okay, well this game is boring...

Gutted Clyne didn't get the start today.

Well it was that clean sheet that won the game...

Same old slow boring obvious passing for so darn long. Oxlade and Lallana at least tried to do something a little different. You can see why we hardly score a goal against harder opposition though.

It's difficult to up the tempo against a team who keep everyone back on the edge of their own box, though. There was no space to use, on several occasions the ball ended up pinballing around off the San Marino players when there would have been a good opening for England against a team playing conventional tactics. It was easier to put in a decent performance against Switzerland because they had some intention to play. The problem when we play the really good teams is that they have better players than us who won't let us rack up the chances.

I don't think there was much to complain about last night, it was just a case of getting the game out the way with a few goals and avoiding any embarrassment.

I'd agree to be honest.

Games against the proper minnows of the competition are just games to get through. There is little point experimenting too much with the side since you're unlikely to learn anything other than how much better your comparative pools of talent are.

I think the main concern is just how boring we are
