Adele. Do we have to like her?
Okay she's got quite a nice voice (nothing outstanding in my view).
I heard Adele sing five or six songs on tv from a concert in the Albert Hall. I lost interest especially during her embarassing rambling tales in between songs.
Then she started singing a tune that I've got on record sung by Bonnie Raitt the american guitar player / singer.
For me, Adele's version of I Can't Make You Love Me fell well short of Bonnie raitt's version.
- in my 'umble...
Do we have to know who she is? It's hard to get away from the name at the moment, and I've been made aware over the past few months that she's the vocal basis for a couple of mediocre pop songs that get played to death. Wouldn't recognise her in the street though... She's in the news today because apparently someone thought it was a better idea to have some music at a music awards ceremony instead of letting her have a luvvie moment. Maybe they were wrong, the Brit Awards is hardly entertainment for people who like music. I don't see it as a choice of liking her or not, that would involve having an interest...Jimmy James wrote:Random comment completely at random:![]()
