very very good actor... shame as i was quite looking forward to seeing him as the joker, and really really looking forward to watching the state of play remake.

Didn't watch the gay cowboy one, but he was good in other films I've seen... "10 Things I Hate About You" always cheers me up when I'm ill...

yeah this IS a shame. heard about it on the radio this morning.

Brokeback Mountain was very good. I was looking forward to the new Batman film too.

Plus he was in the middle of filming Terry Gilliams new film 'The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus', which is probably semi permanently on hold now.

Shame. I always look forward to Gilliams stuff and he's not had a lot of luck in the last ten years with his films. :(

Aren't you going to see it then? I'm still seeing it when it comes out.

It should be regarded as his finest appearence! :|

In post production now - so lets hope they weren't planning any reshoots....
As to it being his finest role, I'd give that to Monsters Ball. He's ace in that.

He was okay in Brokeback Mountain.

Not my favourite actor in the world I have to say, but sad none the less. :(

i quite like the sin eater actually... thought he was alright in that. didn't ever see brokeback mountain, but did see brothers grim unfortunately... Mr Gilliam and Mr Ledger did themselves no favours there.

I happened across this just now :
I got it confirmed from a source involved in Post-Production on THE DARK KNIGHT. Heath's post work was complete. He had indeed finished it, as to not interfere with the production of the film he was doing with Gilliam

You think? i didn't think it was too bad.

Try watching it when you're drunk, it'll be the funniest film you've ever seen. :D

I wonder if he does in the movie, or gets captured. Obviously could cause problems for future Batman movies involving the Joker!
