Indeed... Rare that someone performs so well that they become a household name outside their chosen sport.

Will never forget watching him obliterate everyone in the 1995 world cup.

Crikey. I saw STP at the Boardwalk (or brick house?) in Manchester, I forget which, in the mid 90's. He was a very good live vocalist, but I was never a big fan.

Shame though. RIP.

Edit* it was this gig at the Boardwalk - March 9th 1993. He was just 27 then, and I was only 22. :o
