To be fair, it wasn't necessary to make an insulting generalisation of everyone in a certain line of work - especially when it was only based on a "decent guess"... :yeahright:

Oh and was saying IT wrong? Genuine question....

(I have a feeling IT relates to hardware in the main but thought broadly it could be used for programming etc.)

That would definitely be a contentious (and probably dangerous) assumption around here....

Nothing to be ashamed of, regardless of Python.

I wish I was a bloody accountant every time I have to do my tax return.

My employer's funding has been cut and they needed to make some huge savings - so they decided to do a mass-cull on ICT and reduce the number of staff from 200 down to 100. My team was quite badly hit, with us going from 10 people down to 3 (which is annoying as we've been actually been trying to get more to cope with the workload). I decided that it'd be unworkable to have that few people so I decided to leave. I've already found another (better paying!) job and am working my notice period, so of course I'm really not motivated to be working my ass off. I'm finding it hilarious that some of the chair-filler/meetings-drifter managers are pushing to get their projects done in the next 2 weeks which would normally take over 3 months to finish

They want me to do a hand-over of my work to someone else, but funnily enough the 5 people in my team who are out of a job have no motivation now either and the 3 who are staying have all been tasked with dealing with the priority work so they're too busy
