I'd suggest that with some slight modifications, this 'ultimate cure for technology' should fix your MP3 player. And bring about world peace.

And then put another sim(now broken MP3 player) into her phone(hand) and put your phone(self) in the freezer(car home). Put the kettle on until the room is steamy and insert your sim(newly acquired MP3 player) into another phone(room) upside down so it doesn't work(get steamy), power the phone(MP3 player) on, power it off, then put it in in a drawer overnight. Put a bra on your head and get back to us tomorrow.
Sweet.

Found this thread highly entertaining.

My mother bought me a toaster just recently, this bad boy:

So far thoroughly impressed.

I'm a bit jealous now.

Although, on a toaster update...the Russell Hobbes toaster is STILL performing admirably.
Can we have a toaster update from theadore? :hyper:

My toaster is still going strong thanks. Although the runner pops out every few weeks now and has been quite badly bent due to several screwdriver repair jobs.

My kettle has just developed a very slow leak... not a problem but if I leave it with water in it will leave a puddle on my worktop.

Your kitchen (or possibly entire life) appears to be some kind of consumer durable longevity testing ground. And you're winning!

My microwave stopped microwaving last week. All it does is light things up and spin them round. :(

Fixing things is strangely rewarding.

I'm no longer winning though - having to face up to the fact that my HTC desire is hellabroken.

Its losing time (about 15 minutes per three hours) and texts are coming through when they feel like. Tried removing apps and finally a factory reset to no avail - Bum

When I say you're winning, I mean the consumer durables are losing. As in you're breaking everything.

Nah - these things would have broken anyway... i'm merely extending their useful existance through beligerant refusal to accept defeat

You can't put toast down in most toasters if they're not plugged in. And if you do manage it, it won't pop up... ;)
