The 4 slice version would be awfully long.

Or awfully flat and round if I designed it. With toast popping out of the sides and an animatronic moose on top that strums a ukulele and sings when you're done.

Wouldn't that just be your design for a toaster, rather than a 4-slice version of the one in the picture?

No.

It could just as well look like that if they designed it. At the moment it's a swarm of probabilty particles in a Shroedinger styley.

Given the time it's taken you to do a new Kestrel in Roman armour, I think we can assume that the toaster design will safely remain in your head.

Can we see? Or are you referring to the one you already posted and said you'd do it again.

We'll be the judge of that (or not if you don't show us)

Incidently, for the record I opened my toaster up and found that the poppy-up bit had come out of its runner... I levered it back in with a screwdriver. My original awesome toaster is still in business.

It's a second one, but it's on my other laptop which is sick at home today, and I'm on site. I'll stick it on later.

I'm such a dumbass.

The up volume on my MP3 player appears to have broken and I've just spent a minute pressing the down volume trying to see why it wouldn't work... now my MP3 player is stuck on quiet and I have to throw it away.

More accurately I have to mash it open with a screw driver, poke about pretending I know what i'm doing and then throw it away.

Bum.
