Buzzin'. Any particular time or place? Well I suppose time sort of relates to the kick off, but the place doesn't

Re: Picking a University.
Hey guys recently been accepted into uni to study quantity surveying, pretty much the next step up from being a Joiner! I am going to be studying at Salford and I was wondering in my search for some Uni digs which areas to stay away from and which areas would be okay?
I was wondering whether or not any of you guys have been to Salford Uni too, and what your experiences of it where like? Tbh I'm quite looking forward to the challenge I mean i left school got an appreticeship and 3 years later im going back to school in a sense.
So which Rovers fans are at which Uni?

Re: Picking a University.
I'm sure there must be some good bits of Salford, but there are some fucking terrible bits too. It may be in your interest to live somewhere else and commute in. Someone on here will probably be able to give you some actual help.

Re: Picking a University.
You could live in centre of Manchester and get train to Salford Crescent.
Re: Picking a University.
You could live in manchester and walk to salford cresent.
First year uni digs are largely irrelevant as far as i'm concerned. Self catering slightly trumps a year of horrible food, but otherwise meeting lovely folks is much easier with hundreds of other first years around.

Re: Picking a University.
That may be true. I've always thought of staying in halls as being a bit like a kiddy camp, but if you want to meet loads of new people, then it's a pretty good way to do it. You can always use it as a recruiting year for your 2nd year student house. That way at least you'll be able to weed out the cretins so you don't get stuck in a 4 bedroom house with three of them for a year.

Dunn, I've just selected Salford as my first choice.
Should be heading there in the Autumn.
