Maybe Mowbray being hired gets some fans back. OC was a poor selection, & a number of fans bailed because of his past connections. Mowbray seems to exemplify our club motto, as well.

Honestly, nobody really cares about the motto.

We've got a motto? Does it involve kestrels? :hyper:

I'd care about that motto. Kestrels in roman armour.

A lot of skill and labour is required in Nordic baking, although you can ease the burden with good quality bakeware.

It's in Latin. We're in Blackburn. 95%* of our fans don't even know what it means, never mind care about it... they probably think it's something to do with painting heavily pregnant ladies...

*number plucked out of the air for sake of joke, before anyone takes offence...

They probably don't even know what Latin is.

This is probably harsh.

We'd have to change our colours to black with two white stripes though.

Nobody cares.

Actually, I care, which renders your point a falsehood I'm afraid.

At one time a lot of people in this country knew a bit of Latin, and players and fans back then might have had more of a direct sense of what it meant than now. But I still think it has a legacy in terms of how we approach the game, or at least for the best part of my 25 years following the club. Whenever we are doing well, it tends to be because we work very hard (Labore), with a nice sprinkling of style and flair (Arte).

I like to say I agree with this comment and also say I do care about the motto, in fact that's what attracted me to love this club so dearly.

OK, lets try..... most people don't care. :yeahright:

Ahem.

I'm not sure that all of our players have always been working very hard, mind. But as you say, that's probably why we aren't doing well!
