Graham makes it 2-1, and Antonsson is coming on for Gladwin.

Do we know enough now to say Nuttall deserves more time on the pitch?!
I sure hope so

Think it's only a matter of time before vast majority of fans turn on Mowbray now. Some could argue it's better to go out of the cups to focus on the league... But we went out of the League Cup early and it didn't help us focus.![]()

Mowbray post match was underwhelmed by some Rovers players. He was happy at the result but he gave the impression some players chances are running out. Not naming names of course but it is obvious those who he thinks should be challenging the first team clearly are not.

Mind giving your opinion as to whom anyway? I honestly think Whittingham myself, maybe Graham, but I don't know who else isn't putting the effort in.

Mowbray highlighted the attitude of the team and how each individual applied themselves. He used the U23's 6-1 victory against Watford the previous day as an example. He said it was impressive to see the team as a whole uphold a hard work ethic and disiplined down to even ever pass which was carefully placed. There have been comments from Rovers fans that there is little energy in the first team. A lack trying to impose any quality Rovers have and instead hoping the opposition will make enough mistakes. Mowbray stopped short of mentioning any names but its clear he felt Hart and Gladwin were not contributing much today. Elliot Ward sat out the game which suggests he was only their to cover any defender injuries. While i agree that Rovers seem too laid back when approaching a game you have to ask questions about the manager. He bought the players he subbed today and if there is a lack of urgency in the team surely it is him that should address this issue. Mowbray let the players do the half time team talk today also. What does that say. Let the players sort out the problems while he stands by.Thorisgodpoo wrote: ↑Sat Nov 04, 2017 8:07 pmMind giving your opinion as to whom anyway? I haven't seen Hart in action, so can't say much about him. I have seen Gladwin and really is an underwhelming choice for whatever position he is put in. So I can see the criticism for Gladwin.

Yeah, clearly a terrible decision to let the players do the half time talk when it resulted in us scoring three in the second half. Have to make sure we never make that mistake again....
Re: Rovers v Barney, 3/11 2017, @a time
Yeah, I don't get that. That's clearly good management if it results in the right reaction which it clearly did. Sounds like you are looking for something to moan about tbh

Re: Rovers v Barney, 3/11 2017, @a time
I have only heard about a manager letting the players do a half time team talk before. Graham Taylor let his Villa team do the team talk while being two down at Crewe in the FA Cup. Ironically Villa won the game. I wasnt moaning about the fact that it seems odd the manager was letting the team do the team talk. Imagine though what Alex Ferguson would have said to his United team if they had been one down to Barnet at half time. The hair dryer would blown a fuse. Maybe Mowbray comes across as being a bit too nice guy. If anything i was agreeing with Mowbray that some of his players are under performing even though the result turned out favourable. Maybe though there is club wide laid back approach that is dictated by the senior players. If i have anything to moan at regarding Mowbray it is the fact he does not seem to reward achievement. Chapman was our most impressive player but was only being used for twenty minutes a game. Now he is injured we can look back and look at the games, particularly the Shrewsbury game were if he started he could have took the game to them and perhaps we would have been one up instead of one down. Same with Nuttall. The guy should be used as an impact substitue and his pressence their should be a warning to the likes of Graham, Antonsson and Samuel that you will not walk into the team no matter how you play.

During that period that ManUre were playing in League 1?
He used his management skills to get the players to react in a positive way and get a result. You don't have to shout at people to get a reaction. That you think that is in someway a bad thing is symptomatic of so much about our club these days.
