A tight end away from victory.
Re: The US sports thread
I think we can safely say that the Batfish boys deserved that. Hurrah.

Trying to emulate the Cleveland Browns innit.
Re: The US sports thread
Congrats Eth... Well deserved based on the full season.
Shame my awesome team from last week didn't show up

Talk about a close finale. I made some shocking team choices the last few weeks of the season. Losing Brown didn’t help either.
Just held on to the 3rd place. Phew!

Though just shows how silly playoffs as a concept are.

Cowboys/Eagles today at HT resembled a PL game: 0-0.
That last happened in an NFL game six years ago.
Just sitting here with my new Blackburn Rovers, "Pride of Lancashire" scarf, hoping Dallas can end the season with a win.

It happened.
9-7 just sounds so much better than 8-8. Even without being in playoffs.

Even though playoffs are a silly concept. As is a season where you don't actually play all the teams....

Re: The US sports thread
Fun fact: The Cleveland Browns are 88-216 since coming back in 1999 (over 19 seasons), a fun comparison of 1986-1995 (10 seasons before they moved), they were 80-78 in the time frame.
Another fun fact, Cleveland Browns fans will be holding a parade next Saturday to commemorate their perfect season. I probably won't go (not because I am lazy and only live 1 hour away, because it's in Cleveland and it's in the middle of winter).

Re: The US sports thread
I'm half tempted to declare as a Browns fan, just for the lulz.
Going into the playoffs, I'm expecting a Patriots/Vikings super bowl. Can't see past the Patriots to win either, as much as it pains me.
Interesting that there are three teams from the NFC south in though, given not that many seasons ago it was described as the worst division....

Although all the have been to a Superbowl since 2010.
You write New England off at your peril, but I'm doing it anyway... They haven't looked as song this year... But it's hard to pick a clear favourite.
Vikings a good shout, as are Steelers, but I'm going for Carolina just for the hell of it.

If you support the Browns to find someway to lose a game, it is exhilarating.
