Surely he's about 20 years too young for BFS to actually want him.

Rumour is Rovers are meant to be signing Striker Adam Armstrong from Newcastle on loan until the end of the season.

Seems an odd signing when we have Graham, Nuttall, Samuel and Antonsson. A winger, midfielder and left back would be my preference.
Any more about the Fleetwood left back - forgotten his name? Radio Lancs were talking about 'strong rumours'.
Apart from that, any sign of anyone else going?

Armstrong is well known to Mowbray. He scored twenty goals while at Coventry on loan when Mowbray was in charge. He can play left side of midfield as well as a striker. Rovers current strikers are hit and miss. I dont see any of them scoring ten goals between now and the end of the season.stillgrowling wrote: ↑Thu Jan 04, 2018 8:29 pmSeems an odd signing when we have Graham, Nuttall, Samuel and Antonsson. Really - I thought they'd all done pretty well... considering they share the workload I don't see a team with Antonson, Graham, Samuels or Nuttall and worry about our ability to put the ball in the net.
I'd rather we focused on creating more chances or tightening up at the back.

Isn’t Antonsson out for a couple of months?

Don't know... I don't follow football.

Having a new born in the house does that to you.
A month tops. Still, Armstrong looks like an upgrade to me, and we’re a little light on attacking forwards now Harper has buggered off too.

It's like that all the time.

Re: Rumours, wishlists and general tomfoolery
I'll weep if we bring Lowe back, we've been vastly better at the base of midfield with Smallwood there and I'd rather we gave Tomlinson more of a chance. Granted we need some additional cover there as Whittingham isn't showing much form and Evans isn't fit or performing consistently, but I'd imagine wages should be an issue too comparatively, Arry was signing all these players on silly wages.

I would sooner sit in a public toilet watching a nine inch black and white tv playing continual go compare ads than watch Lowe and Evans passing the ball any direction except forwards, and Whittingham's just as bad.
Tomlinson may not have as much experience, but his enthusiasm and sense of attack makes him a far better proposition than the turgid trio mentioned above.
