Confirmed.

Only referred to us as a "great club" so he's made a poor start there.

On a more serious note this is an excellent signing. He already knows the league and has been one of the top performers as an attacking midfielder. Think he's got something like 3 goals and 9 assists in the league and scored another 4 in the checkertrade trophy.

I guess the only problem is that he is in direct competition with Dack who is essentially the same player just even better, although it will be interesting to see if Mowbray sees him playing in a wider role as part of the front 3 which is certainly possible.

We could try:
————————————Raya—————————————
Nyambe——Downing——-Mulgrew———Williams
Bennett——————Smallwood—————Conway
—————-——-Dack————Payne—————————-
——————————-Graham————————————-

That's possible against the weaker sides perhaps and as creative a line up as that looks it does also lack pace as none of Graham, Dack or Payne are that quick, especially not Graham.

What I like it the nature of the signings we're making, just more intent that we're pushing for automatic promotion. We've got an impressive array of creativity, attacking options and goals in a number of players.

Armstrong over Graham if he proves himself.

Everyone knows you can't win without pace.

It's the most important thing. More important than goals.

I would think that Dack is pretty quick, but I guess I am wrong.

Glad to see a solid loan depth signing. Would be great if they snuck on some sort of buy on clause if he turns out great.

Payne open to Rovers Return

With Huddersfield now safe you'd imagine he is surplus to requirements with them. He's also now referred to us as a great and massive club to that's an improvement.

When I've seen him play for us this season he has always impressed, he's comfortable on the ball, always seems to be trying to make something happen and can pick out passes through defence. He's also linked well with Dack, Graham and Armstrong.

He played in 23 games in the Championship for Huddersfield during their promotion winning season so he has experience of performing at that level, Mowbray knows him as a player now and knows he fits in well with the squad that has bonded so much this season so he may well be a sensible addition.
