In our next 3 games, logic says we should get at least 6 easy points. But, nothing looks real easy now. Truly, 4 of the next 5 are very winnable.

Eu Up,
How times are reversed, Burnley hold runaway Prem leaders at home and Rovers are soundly beaten in Div 3 by a team from Devon? Is there still a league team in Devon? What's their mascot, a Zimmer frame?
When did Rovers last (ever?) lose to Plymouth?
Ah well, 18 games in a row was good, time for a breather anyway, lots of games to go yet
Up the Rovers!

Yes there are still some league teams in Devon and you found out yesterday, just how good one of them was. The trouble with you BIG clubs, is that you think you have the right to rock up, and take away the 3 points and drive back up the m5. Nearly all the posts on here are from Blackburn fans moaning about how poorly their team played. How about giving some credit to the opposition ?
We had a similar league record to Blackburn. We came to you early in the season and took a point from you. 4 points from 6 against a team that should go up.
We played very well yesterday and we stopped you from playing. Please give credit where credit is due !

Saying this is a Rovers forum, we really don't focus much on analyzing the opposition.

Mr/Mrs/Ms Geddon Down,
Methinks I touched a nerve. I did say "soundly beaten" and this is a Rovers board and we are Lancastrians, we're not supposed to validate others, otherwise we might as well move to the beautiful south and be nice to everyone.
Right, ready: great win Plymouth, you were the better team, jolly well done!
So now you can bask in the hard-won praise of a Lanky man.
Now I need a drink!

You've taken the time to sign up to another club's forum just to complain that they're talking about their team?baylo1967 wrote: ↑Sun Feb 04, 2018 5:38 pmDuggy

Careful, don't want to get accused of negativity...

The unbeaten run was going to end some time. We've just got to bounce back straight away, make sure we're in position to capitalise when Shrewsbury and Wigan have their hiccups.

Best watch out, this post seems to lack a certain amount of praise for Plymouth. Best not rile up the locals again.Rover the Top wrote: ↑Mon Feb 05, 2018 10:19 amCareful, don't want to get accused of negativity...![]()

Disappointed by the loss on Saturday after a great run and it is no disaster. I'm sure Rovers will bounce back...BUT... of more concern is that Wigan and Shrewsbury are looking too good to be overhauled. Wigan have arguably as good a squad as Rovers and with two games in hand will be impossible to catch never mind overhaul - even with the game at Ewood to come.
Shrewsbury, who we have all been waiting to falter, are doing no such thing. If anything they are becoming more obstinate and determined to stay second. I for one cant see them losing at the moment. Reminds me of Leicester winning the Prem. Everyone waited for their obvious crash in form.. and it never happened. Cue them lifting the trophy that season.
Long story short its the play offs for us I fear.... what a f*****g lottery that is!
We never do things the easy way.

Well I thought it went without saying that the result proved that Plymouth have indeed mastered the game of football and the cream of Europe will be quaking at the thought of trips to Devon for years to come. As pointed out above they have a similar league record to us what with them being just 18 points behind us now, so promotion is nailed on for them this season and it's only a matter of time before they win the Champions League...Thorisgodpoo wrote: ↑Mon Feb 05, 2018 12:15 pm

Devon is more famous for Custard and rice pudding. Talk about a tin ambrosia because that is more interesting than PAFC.baylo1967 wrote: ↑Sun Feb 04, 2018 5:38 pmDuggy

Devon sounds nearly as interesting as Athens, Texas, which has the onion & black-eyed pea festivals. Makes my mouth water, just thinking about it!Darth Rover wrote: ↑Mon Feb 05, 2018 4:06 pmDevon is more famous for Custard and rice pudding. Every team has a bad patch at sometime in the season. Arguably Man City are having theres right now.
Shrewsbury WILL hit a bad patch - the point is, will we be able to take advantage?

Despite the set back at Plymouth (i believe they are having an open top bus tour followed by a civic reception so the town can give thanks for their teams splendid achievement in beating the mighty Blackburn Rovers) Rovers have a good opportunity to get back in winning ways at home to Oldham. We owe Oldham for the last minute winner earlier in the season. No post is complete though without mentioning the pilgrims (again). Best of luck to Plymouth against Shrewsbury this weekend.stillgrowling wrote: ↑Wed Feb 07, 2018 4:32 pmEvery team has a bad patch at sometime in the season.
