Bury coming up huge for us today, drawing 1-1 with Shrewsbury. This puts 7 points, 3 matches left between Rovers and Shrews. A win for Rovers on Tuesday will secure promotion, essentially making the last 2 matches test matches for fringe players.

If you were to tell me that Rovers were to finish the season strong and get promotion, I would have had a lot of doubt in that statement.

Goal difference means that we only need one more point, assuming that Shrewsbury win their next three matches

For me win on Tuesday and then play some of the kids for the remaining 2 games. I would sooner see how they get on than try and win the league. Not bothered in the slightest. U23’s won the league so let’s see if any can break through next season.

Tony Mowbray said he is already planning for next season. I wonder if that will be with West Brom or Ipswich. If so then Rovers should go for Wenger.

Should have got someone else in on loan. Just sayin'. ;)

Yeah we should renew, the strong aspects of Graham's game shouldn't be hindered by him getting a bit older, and he's not that old anyway. But I do think we nees to be in the market for another hitman, especially if we want to try and look at some kind of double promotion (getting ahead of myself...). I think Danny will be good for around 10-12 goals if we get promoted; which probably isn't enough, unless we also have Dack and someone like Armstrong banging in equal numbers.
Yep.

I was actually going to add to my post that we should jeep Graham but we need someone else and I'm not convinced at all that that's Samuel.

Samuel started well, but has done nothing the last half of the season.

Graham, at his age, is still effective, but his best years are behind him. Same with Conway, not sure they will get much playing time next year in the Championship.

Raya, Bell, Lenihan, Nyambe, Mulgrew, Dack, et al, our nucleus. I would love to keep Armstrong.

All Dack's goals chalked off retrospectively and we're relegated? :D
