Hopefully a bounce back would be great to do, even better to do it against rivals.

Feel like we can go and win this one.

Hopefully Lowe is as shit at screening the centre backs and passing a football as he was for us, Dack should have a field day.

I anticipate a point, well earned.

Watch Lowe score on us, in added time. It wouldn't surprise me one bit.

Big changes for this match as Rothwell, Rodwell, Palmer, and Mulgrew all get starts.

Raya
Bennett-Lenihan-Mulgrew-Williams
Reed-Rodwell
Rothwell-Dack-Palmer
Graham

Very interesting to see the wholesale change of no Smallwood or Evans, as they appear on the bench.

Hoping Brereton can get off to scoring ways this match.

Rovers doing well in the first half. Bolton have gotten some chances but Raya has been doing superb today.

What a win! Overturned penalty turned into an offside. Level on points with a playoff position. Really bunkered down in the 2nd half.

Overall, Rodwell needs to get his match fitness up. He seemed to be really good in the middle of the park defensively. Possibly what we need to upgrade from Smallwood.

Rothwell did great as well, ran his socks off. Palmer tracked back very well defensively and had a couple good moments.

I think this squad is fine where it sits right now until January. Still need to get through the second quarter of matches to see where we sit, but if this match is any indicator, we will do well.

Awful game...poor performance...but 3 points!

That second half was tough to watch. Not one rovers player could get their foot on the ball and settle things down. Bolton are a poor team and though we won I’m disappointed at how difficult we made it for ourselves.

Great day for football...
Blackburn holds on to get the win, & U. Of Texas beats the land thieves.

I am well-satisfied.

Bolton were the home team and failed to take that advantage. Phil Parkinson said they dominated the game. No you didnt Phil. Rovers started the game better and got in front. You either go looking for a second or you play a bit more conservatively. Rovers did the latter although they do need to improve that side of their game. Rovers were undone by Sheffield United who are now top of the league. Apart from that game and the Bristol City match i cannot see much wrong with Rovers. Reports today of West Brom wanting Dack for 20 million in January. Every player has his price of course and i wouldnt be stupid enough to say Dack would stay regardless of any offer. Dack comes from down south and i eventually see him returning down their but not to another championship club or for a mere 20 million.

So pleased to get the 3 points. It wasn’t pretty in the second but that doesn’t really matter. It keeps the feeling that we’ve made a very encouraging start to life back in the championship.

Wouldn’t have sat well to stew over a derby loss to Bolton over the international break.

Really liked how the goal displayed the qualities of some of our new faces. Palmer’s skill and ability to beat players, Rothwell with a nice range of forward passing and Reed’s energy to get up and down the pitch. Rothwell so unlucky not to get the goal but Dack there as always.

So there I was, just finishing dinner in my hotel in Bulgaria, wandered over to the bar/lounge as there was football on, probably some Bulgarian or German side but, wait a minute, is that Dack on the ball? And it was, watched the last hour of the match live, a real treat.
Although Bolton dominated the second half Rovers defence was up to it, and the trots never looked like scoring. Excellent defensive display from Rovers.
The more the season goes on, the more I think we need cover at cf -if Danny suffers an injury we would be in the poo poo. Overall, I'm satisfied with the lads performance this season, although almost resigned to losing Dack in January.
