Blackburn v Shrewsbury, 13-1, 2017 @ 15:00
Might as well make this match thread as this is probably one of the biggest matches of the season. Need to win here to put Rovers in a better position for automatic promotion.

Stunning return of Nordic bakeware for the big match

Re: Blackburn v Shrewsbury, 13-1, 2017 @ 15:00
Only shows up in the big games innit. What kind of consistency is that?

Re: Blackburn v Shrewsbury, 13-1, 2017 @ 15:00
Well it's a bake of two halves and we've got the Nordic bakeware in our locker.
Re: Blackburn v Shrewsbury, 13-1, 2017 @ 15:00
We've also got League 1 player of the month Bradley Dack in our locker.
Plus a few issues elsewhere in midfield:
Plus a few issues elsewhere in midfield:
Corry’s got a thigh strain, it will be a couple of weeks, I think"
"Peter is a bit worse than Corry. He’s looking at four to six weeks"
"We've received confirmation that Marcus will be out for a month"
"Young [Willem] Tomlinson had a slight hamstring issue but he’s come through that and trained today. We’ll be fine, I’m sure."
"Because of the injuries, we’ve got five or six young players training with us and it’s really increased the tempo and competitive edge in training."

Well done Bradley Dack. Fully deserved recognition for his achievements. Regarding the absentees via injury is it that much of a problem having Evans and Whittingham out. Antonsson will be missed though we now have Armstrong along with Graham and Samuel. If it means some of the younger players get a chance then this is most welcome.
Re: Blackburn v Shrewsbury, 13-1, 2017 @ 15:00
Yeah Whittingham out really isn't a big deal, he's not really got going for us at all.
Games I've seen recently we've always looked good in the second half when he's brought on Tomlinson to play in the middle with Smallwood, although Travis was decent against Hull.
I'm assuming out wide it will be Bennett then either Conway or chuck Armstrong into the mix with Graham up top.

Wonder if we’ll play with 2 up top (Armstrong & Graham) and pair Dack with Smallwood in midfield, if Tomlinson fails his fitness test

I suspect we’ll see Armstrong on the wing.

It has a great touch for a big baking tin.

I hope to see Tomlinson start this match, I think he is ready to give it a shot, and no better way to see his quality come out against a top opponent. Mowbray stated having 5 or 6 youngsters in the mix, so I would expect it to be pretty much any fit midfielder in the development squad and seeing how they perform in the middle with Smallwood. It should be interesting if we throw 2 up front signing Armstrong and play more of a diamond 4-4-2 instead of the 4-2-3-1 or whatever it is they play.

Watching Southend v’s Fleetwood today. Will hopefully be able to see Amari’i Bell today.
