I heard nasty stories about the south. The south was not bringing their best. They are bringing their kestrel poop, and the gibbons are bringing their banana peels for people to slip on. This is something I can't stand for, as these Kestrels and gibbons are bad hombres. Big hombres, ocean sized hombres. They showed how bigly they are willing to bring that poop and those banana peels. That is why I am issuing an executive order on poop and banana peels to Make The North End Great Again!

Another big outing for Rovers. Need a win to put us back in the right direction for playoffs.

The Potters are just to the south (unless they are away that weekend I suppose). Hmm.

They're unbeaten in 6 winning 3 and drawing 3 after a bit of a crap start. It's frustrating that we didn't get the win against Rotherham just to have had those 6 points before 2 away derbies in 5 days. Shows how difficult every game can be in this division despite it being the first fixture I really expected to win.

It would be brilliant if out of this 4 game run we could get 8 to 10 points, but that's looking a little trickier now as Saturday will be tough. Wigan are in terrible form so I was more confident of us going there and getting a good result. If we avoid defeat in both games that would still be a very positive return would just be great if we can sneak a win but we're going to have to start scoring a little more freely than we have been.

It was a total guess, but it wasn't.

Got my ticket for this, really looking forward to it. 5,500 rovers fans going so should make for a cracking atmosphere.

Hoping Mulgrew is fit for this one. I always feel so much better when he’s out there, but in Williams/Rodwells defence, they have both been excellent in his absence. Also hoping Reed can shake of the niggle that led to his substitution against Rotherham.

My 11 would be:

Raya
Nyambe Lenihan Mulgrew Bell
Reed Evans
Bennett Dack Armstrong
Graham

This leaves a strong offensive minded bench if required (Rothwell/Palmer/Brereton)

Preston fans, bunch of ruffians. I wouldn't even go to Sainsbury's on a match day - and they have armed guards on the door there to protect their extra ripe brie supplies. They are like animals I tell you. Moor Park becomes a sea of flying bottles of piss with away fans strung up from the trees with burning tyres cast around the base. Almost apocalyptic. And that's just the under 10s. Watch yourself out there.

Let me tell you about Preston fans. The Chinese have the best Preston fans. If we did Preston fans like the Chinese Preston fans, our Preston fans would be really something. People ask me about our Preston fans, and say "how do you get the Preton fans blades turning so fast?". I just laugh, but I tell them its because our Preston fans are true blooded American Preston fans. Then I hang up. Wall Street want us to lose our Preston fans, with support from liar Hillary. She's done great service to our country but she's a liar and a criminal.... She should be behind bars. We're going to take our Preston fans and build a wall with them. Preston fans make the best walls. The Chinese make great walls. If our Preston fan wall was as good as Chinese Preston fans or Chinese walls we'd have the best Preston fan wall.... And that's how we'll make Preston fans great again.

Pretty much the team I'd expect to see.

As he is in such good form, I'd be tempted to give Rodwell a crack at defensive midfielder in place of Evans -(not sure if he played twice last weekend ).

With everyone fit we're beginning to see what Mowbray considers his strongest XI currently in my opinion. I'd say you've got as good as 9 nailed on starters:

Raya
Nyambe
Lenihan
Mulgrew
Reed
Smallwood
Bennett
Dack
Graham

It leaves a decision on Bell or Williams at left back which probably will usually be Bell then a wide attacking spot which is probably Arma over Conway, Palmer, Brereton or Rothwell.

I just want Mowbray to give Brereton a go up top instead of Graham as he is showing a lot of potential in glimpses out wide. Really think he missed a trick not giving him the nod to start against Rotherham. It's not that Graham has been poor I just think we need to mix things up a bit as teams seem to be wise to the Dack/Graham combination which is evident in how our goals from open play have dried up a little bit.

It's really pleasing to now be able to discuss what's our best side and that we have genuine squad depth and ability to bring on players who can make a big impact on a game.

I would love to see Rodwell given a shot in midfield. Only problem I have is his stamina right now.

The nice thing we have is that any combination of Rodwell, Reed, Smallwood or Evans is good. You could even add Bennett and Davenport into that mix if we were dealing with multiple injuries.

I f Mowbray can help Rodwell to regain his England form, his selection over Evans would be a no brainer.

We need to see Davenport in game time before making that assumption. I know he has glowing reviews of U23 play, but so did Nuttall.

Difference being Davenport has performed at this level already
