Not particularly fussed about the outcome of this as much but I think we can win and hope we do. As expected Newcastle lost against Chelsea and have a relegation 6 pointer with Cardiff at the weekend so I think we're likely to see a lot of changes in their side again.

Pretty sure Mowbray will pick a relatively strong side and I'd be tempted to give Nuttall anther start to see if he can build on his goal at Millwall. Sounds like Mulgrew and Williams will still be out and Downing may still be ill. I also think he may well put Smallwood back in for Travis for some rotation. Expect a team along the lines of:

---------------Raya
Nyambe Lenihan Rodwell Bell
--------Smallwood Evans
Bennett-----Dack----Armstrong
-------------Graham

Where possible I think he might rest players who did the full 90 at Millwall.

I think Evans gets the seat instead of Travis. But overall, I think that lineup is accurate.

As long as we see the same Newcastle team that came out last time, we will have a good time. Bonus is that it's at Ewood.

Evans came off at half time at Millwall so just expect him to start, Reed and Travis played the full 90 so I think he'll rest them both particularly as Smallwood is back and hasn't been playing so should be raring to go. I'd rather have Travis and Reed rested and fresh for Ipswich as we've got a great chance of picking up a good amount of points in the next few games.

Going to be very interesting to see who out of Evans, Smallwood and Travis remains as starters in the league. Mowbray is very loyal to his trusted players, Smallwood very much being one of them, but I can't see how he drops Travis in the league for now.

Defence picks itself so they'll all have to play again unless Downing is well and Bennett is captain in Mulgrew's absence so assuming he'll carry on.

They don't expect Evans to feature

I think TM will stick with form, at least I hope he does

Ah hadn't seen that yet, so could be Smallwood and Travis in the middle.

slow day at work so I have been on twitter quite a bit. Thought I saw something about him not being risked and thankfully it was easy to find.

I'd also assumed Evans being subbed at half time was tactical

I assumed it was to save him from another embarrassing shot off target.

I agree Newcastle is worried about PL survival; but Rafa can “coach ‘em up” with the best of ‘em. I see a tough game in store, Rovers will need to play their best today.

I am very encouraged by our young guys, and I see a very hungry Rovers today taking this one.

We're favourites to win tonight.

Never been a big fan of Benitez personally so would be nice to knock them out. Fancy Armstrong to score against his former employers tonight.

I just saw our 11. Without either Dack or Mulgrew starting?! I dunno...

Huge deflection though, it's the best time to go behind. Plenty of time yet to get a couple of goals. :hyper:

First goal deflection, but should have been closed down. Second goal, just shocking defending! Lenihan and Nymabe caught out. Steep mountain to climb now.
