Mowbray reading my mind. Rodwell on for Evans.

If this stays how it is and we win, I hope it puts into perspective the run of losses and how fine the margins are in this league. Rovers have been dreadful today; Bell and Raya have contrived to give Forest every possible opportunity to score. We’ve played better and lost many a time but at no point should Mowbray’s job have been in question. Today demonstrates that.

Full time, Rovers 2-1, now that's Championship security confirmed. 13 points above Rotherham puts us out of reach of relegation.

That final 30 minutes was a bit worrying. Nuttall was a confusing substitute, where I think Brereton would have made more sense (which he didn't look that good either in the 10 minutes he had). Rodwell was a good subtitute, he knows how to cover defensive positions in midfield and puts decent long balls forward. I would like to see him start and fight for a contract in the last 4 games.

One thing that was very encouraging is that out of 14 shots, 8 were on goal. Whereas Forest had 21 shots, 1 on target.

YAY.

It may have been ugly, but apparently the defending wasn’t too bad.

Tuesday did us the world of good. May have been a jittery finish but you can only aapplaud the effort this week beating Derby and then Forest.

What a goal from Rothwell.

Well deserved victory, well done boys!

Can’t help but look back at February and March and think what could have been. Hopefully a positive end to the season will bring momentum into next. A few additions and we might be challenging playoffs.

Convinced about Bell yet Gaz?

He’s getting better, some good and valid comments from Mowbray in the LT.

I’m not mate. I think his biggest weakness is his self belief. Looks to take the easy option of cutting back and passing backwards. He does have some good attributes and maybe a full preseason and he could be a different player for us next season.

But he’s a lot more confident going forward than Williams despite the fact that he does hesitate to commit at times.

I think as Mowbray says he’s got all the right attributes just lacking in some confidence and consistency.

I think he’ll be our starting left back next season still.

Better than Williams by far but I would be looking at a new left back to challenge him.

On Williams....he has been very good at centre half the last 2 games and is the position I’ve always thought he’s stronger in. I don’t want to see him at left back again after some of the horror shows this season there!

Oh for sure, Williams is fine at centre back and says a lot that he kept Mulgrew on the bench at the weekend.

I think it surprises me more that Nyambe can’t get a game currently.

Yes, I do not understand this, unless he’s had an injury or personal issues we know nothing about.

I mean Bennett has been playing very well there and is not a player Mowbray is going to drop. And if he’s not in midfield I guess Nyambe needs to make way.

Two weeks, two superb goals from Rothwell.
I think we are approaching our best team,Travis alongside either Rodwell or Reed with Rothwell and Dack behind Graham.
The defence still needs attention though, great that Nyambe can challenger Bennet, Lenihan is a shoe in, but a couple of quality defenders is a requirement. Our captain can't play forever and I don't see Williams as a permanent. Bell is something of an enigma, far better going forward than defending but we need a reliable stopper at left back.
Will Mowbray blood a couple of the youth team or will he go for as many points as possible? Answers on a postcard............
