Re: Preston North End v Blackburn Rovers, Sat 26 Oct 2019, KO 15:00

I’m struggling to understand how Nyambe can be faulted for any of those goals....

First goal is a complete fuck up by the keeper.

Second is a combination of Williams and Bennett.

There is a slight argument for the 3rd but you’ve just got to hold your hand up and say it’s a great strike.

Re: Birmingham City v Blackburn Rovers, Tue, 22 Oct 2019, KO 19:45

That last night was nothing short of embarrassing and I’m slowly coming to the conclusion that TM has taken us as far as he can. There is no shame in admitting this and I’m grateful to him for the position we are in now compared to where we were. We are by far a more attractive proposition for someo...

Re: Blackburn vs Luton thread.

The big positive for me was our new German midfielder- very impressive, not dissimilar to Travis but more of an attacker. Can't remeber his name, hardly surprising as the scoreboard couldn't put his name up at all. When will Mowbray and everyone else realise that Danny is our best centre forward? Ga...

Re: Blackburn vs Luton thread.

Such a frustrating afternoon. First 15 mins we were excellent then conceded a poor goal. That gave Luton a lot of confidence and they really settled down. Scored a great goal with Travis and I thought we’d go on and win in the second half. Conceded another poor goal and from then we got ourselves in...

Re: Blackburn Rovers v Cardiff City, Sat 24 Aug 2019, KO 15:00

Deserved point this afternoon. The Lenihan and Williams partnership is getting stronger. 3 clean sheets on the bounce now is excellent going. It was never going to be pretty against a Warnock sick but the result/performance shows the progress we are making. Cunningham back in for Bell and that’s pro...

Re: Carabao Cup: Blackburn Rovers v Oldham, Tue 13 Aug 2019, KO 19:45

Totally against what I was hoping for  I guess it’s a balancing act as to what is most beneficial to get a positive result come Saturday. I’m always a believer of winning breeds confidence and also for these new players to play with each other more and more to get a feel for the system. Let’s s...

Re: Carabao Cup: Blackburn Rovers v Oldham, Tue 13 Aug 2019, KO 19:45

Personally I’d start with a near on first eleven and try and get the tie won in the first half. We can’t complain of fatigue and a win/a few goals will give them confidence going in to Saturday.

Thanks for the comments Mcteeth. Sounds promising and far from the negative “Mowbray out” brigade I’ve seen on other forums/social media

And am I right in saying they both spent approximately £7 million (or as I like to say 1 Breteton :D ) last summer? Goes to show what good recruitment and coaching can get you.

Re: The Penultimate Match: Canaries in the Coal Mine v Doggos Barking at Canaries, Sat 27 April 2019, KO 19:30

Wow. How we managed to escape with a 2-1 defeat god only knows. The gulf in class was clear. I appreciate our players are already on the beach and our season is over but the standard that Norwich are at shows how far we need to come. That first 45 mins alongside Sheff United display at Ewood is prob...

Re: Blackburn Rovers v Bolton Wanderers, Mon 22 April 2019, KO 15:00

Barely got out of 2nd gear today. The 2 times we did we scored. If we could have been arsed we’d have won by 5/6 today.

Re: QPR v Blackburn Rovers, Fri 20 April 2019, KO 15:00

Anyone else think we made hard work of that..? We should have won by 4 or 5 goals. We need to develop a more ruthless side to us. So many times we got in to good positions but either our final pass or finish was lacking. One thing we definitely learnt today was Leutwiler is not up to it. He flapped ...

Re: Nottingham Forest v Blackburn Rovers, Sat 13 April 2019, KO 15:00

Better than Williams by far but I would be looking at a new left back to challenge him. On Williams....he has been very good at centre half the last 2 games and is the position I’ve always thought he’s stronger in. I don’t want to see him at left back again after some of the horror shows this season...

Re: Nottingham Forest v Blackburn Rovers, Sat 13 April 2019, KO 15:00

Convinced about Bell yet Gaz? He’s getting better, some good and valid comments from Mowbray in the LT. I’m not mate. I think his biggest weakness is his self belief. Looks to take the easy option of cutting back and passing backwards. He does have some good attributes and maybe a full preseason an...
