Re: Brexit....or in.

My point was actually that leaving without a deal was always one of the possible consequences of voting to leave, it was the default position. And then in the real world there are the main facets of the leave campaigns that promised a deal, mega trade deals, 350m a week for the NHS, all done very e...

Re: Lewis Holtby

Fair enough, he should be a very decent player at this level my concern is how much we're paying him. On paper in terms of a creative midfielder he represents an upgrade on Evans, Gladwin, Davenport, Buckley and Rothwell. Although I'd have been happier to see the continued use of Rothwell and Buckle...

Re: Brexit....or in.

I mean I guess it isn't, at least it's proof of the Tory pipedream. And it just goes on, Johnson in the hospital today and you've got Kuenssberg and BBC Politics tweeting that the man he was speaking to was a Labour activist like it fucking matters. Johnson, sleeves rolled up, tie tucked in, ruffled...

Re: Brexit....or in.

Linky . According to an account of the meeting, the prime minister was told by his EU counterparts in no uncertain terms that the UK’s plan to replace the backstop by allowing Northern Ireland to stick to common EU rules on food and livestock (known as SPS) was not enough to prevent customs checks ...

Re: Rumours, wishlists and general tomfoolery

Yeah I saw that, not really sure he'd be needed when we have Dack, Rothwell, Buckley and Davenport to come back. Might be sensible to save the wages for the January window.

Re: Brexit....or in.

How have we gone from predictions of leaving causing mass economic failure to leaving helping the rich get richer? You don't need to go into the detail the FT went in to to realise it doesn't make a great deal of sense. I don't see how we've gone from one to the other, it's always been both. You se...

A weird 3-5-1-1 looks like. Cunningham and Bennett as wing backs. Dack in behind Armstrong.

How on earth is Travis on the bench. If there was ever a game you needed some work rate and snapping into challenges.

Re: Brexit....or in.

And the links to Hedge Funds shorting on the pound is also all completely fine. You mean as explained here? Byline are apparently publishing a further article responding to criticisms. I don't think it's conclusive either way. But regardless I think it would be naive to think there isn't a vested i...

Re: Brexit....or in.

Reminds of Trump claiming total exoneration from the Mueller report.

Yeah Arron Banks is obviously completely squeaky clean and hasn't done anything wrong. And the links to Hedge Funds shorting on the pound is also all completely fine.

Re: Blackburn Rovers v Millwall, Sat 14 Sept 2019, KO 15:00

Feels like a match where we could try to assert the progressive style of play Mowbray has been trying to develop. I would expect Millwall to come and frustrate us looking to nick a goal and would be happy with a draw. There is no point in us trying to play direct with Cooper in defence for them as a...

And Scottish Court rules prorogation as unlawful. Not sure how much that will mean given the timescales.

Re: General Election

https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2019/sep/11/nigel-farage-boris-johnson-no-deal-brexit-election-non-aggression-pact Interesting to see how that pans out, could further fragment the Tories and force them to support no deal. Love how he still talks about a clean break brexit as if it means anythi...
