Re: World Cup 2022

A very un-England start with a game we'd classically huff and puff and draw 0-0. Although the goals conceded were sloppy even if the pen was far less of a pen than the one on Maguire in the first half. Formation looked good, lots of players in form and goals shared around. Thought USA looked decent ...

Re: Bumley Vs Blackburn Rovers. Sunday 13th November. KO 12.30pm

Can't knock what JDT has done this season and we're on a journey with how he is developing and utilising the squad so these off performances have happened from time to time which is fine. Just didn't think this was the game to try things. Mola was great at West Ham but not the right league game for ...

Re: West Ham Vs Blackburn Rovers. EFL Cup 3rd Round. Wed 9th October. KO 19.45

…with a starting line-up of our reserves! Well done Rovers! :D Weirdly when you look at the starting XI aside from Pears and possibly Carter it didn't really feel like an overly weakened side. Mola is in theory a first team signing who is just new, and although Wharton has only played a few times h...

Not only do we rarely win at West Ham, also a penalty shootout :hyper:

Re: 2022/2023 season

It'll be a really tough game but winning at Burnley to go top before the World Cup break would be amazing.

Re: 2022/2023 season

Another impressively shit performance away from home against one of the sides lower in the table.

We're getting very good at these :hyper:

Re: Hull vs Blackburn Rovers. October 29th 2022. KO 15.00

Well the Mowbray slump tended to be playing really well across January then being utterly hideous in February before eventually re-finding some form come April when it was too late. As Gibbon says we keep winning without being entirely convincing each time, although I thought we were against Hull bu...

Birmingham were and have been very good so brilliant win. Took our chances and managed to hold out.

Special mention to Adam Wharton getting his first goal for the club.

Re: Blackburn Rovers vs Sunderland. Tues 18th October. KO 20.00

Feel like we've had not quite the share of good fortune on decisions over the last few seasons so nice to see one go our way, although oddly with a Prem referee and not the usual Gavin Ward type incompetence.

Anyway, top of the league and all that with the most wins :hyper:

Re: Wigan Athletic vs Blackburn Rovers. Tues 11th October. Kick off 19.45

Well we now consistently win then lose then win then lose...

So that means we'll lose at home to Tony Mowbray

There is something a little bit gorgeous about your ex captain scoring an own goal and sitting in the relegation zone at a managerless club

Re: Wigan Athletic vs Blackburn Rovers. Tues 11th October. Kick off 19.45

We really seem to go from good to awful game to game, it's strange. JDT just seems to be getting in wrong against some of these opponents. Reading, Luton, Cardiff and Wigan didn't try to outplay us they just pressed high as we tried to play out and remain aggressive and disruptive for 90 minutes as ...
