Re: Brexit....or in.

If slightly over half of people want one thing and the others want the opposite, you find a compromise that slightly favours the majority. It's obvious common sense and doesn't require any complex interpretation of the referendum or what individual people did or didn't want. Not at all. They could ...

Re: Brexit....or in.

Perhaps seeking an exit that represents the actual vote - you know, one that was actually very close and implies that retaining close links should be combined with leaving - which doesn't mean having to deal with single market issues on Ireland would be a better approach. Now you're falling foul of...

Re: Brexit....or in.

From the EU's point of view, there is no point in that. It's just can kicking with a cliff edge still sat there for them - one that can't be avoided with the unicorn bluster of Johnson and friends. Perhaps seeking an exit that represents the actual vote - you know, one that was actually very close a...

Re: Brexit....or in.

Unlike the Tory red lines which were about political gain, the EU's are based on a choice between destroying the integrity of the single market or destroying the Good Friday agreement, both of which sane people would agree are outcomes to be avoided at all costs. The very idea that the EU should sac...

Oh, except you can't, because you can't add administrators to that. What a shame.
In a moment of inspiration I muted all users with a Union Jack or flag of St George in their Twitter name or post. I highly recommend it to all Twitter users.

Re: Brexit....or in.

Don’t economic failures regularly benefit the wealthy if they’re prepared for them? They step in and hoover up depressed stocks. The advantage of being very rich is that it actually doesn't matter what happens, you always gain from it one way or the other. What really saddens me is that people forg...

Re: General Election

You mean a party can't advocate doing one thing as a compromise while not in power but also suggest they'd do something else if they were in power? How dare they be so utterly pragmatic and sensible. I'm not sure where you get that from. I mean the Lib Dems say they will hold a referendum. Just lik...
